London producer and co-founder of record label Valby Rotary, Louf, has released his new EP Skara today. He's been dropping little tasty singles from the EP, and we couldn't wait to get our ears on the whole thing. 5-tracks long, the EP uses electronics in an innovative way, creating soundscapes that feel strangely organic, despite being entirely electronic. Penultimate track on the EP 'Arusha' is an intriguing number that opens with deep, industrial rhythms. Gradually, a synth pad surfaces, evoking imagery of the sea; it's as if a large and peaceful whale has risen from the depths of the ocean. More percussive melodies come into play, and as the track grows in intensity, the synth bass holds it all in its grip.
